1.Choosing The Correct Skip Size
On a daily basis our office staff get asked by many customers “which size skip do they think they should order “.Our Team always recommend ordering a larger skip rather then a smaller skip as in the past our customers told us it was better having a skip that had plenty of space rather then getting a skip that was to small and ending up having to get two smaller skips after ordering the incorrect skip size.
Our Staff always try and steer our customers in the right direction while choosing the correct skip size and we always recommend looking on our website at the skip images and listed skip size measurements for our skip hire range .

4. Types Of Acceptable Skip Waste
Unfortunately, it’s fairly common for us to find prohibited items placed in the skips we hire that we are unable to accept . Many people aren’t aware that that are strict laws that prohibit us from accepting certain types of waste materials. For convenience, here is a list of the most common ones:
- Car tyres
- Fridges & freezers
- All liquids including Paints
- Fluorescent tubes & light bulbs
- Gas bottles
- Clinical waste/ medical items
5.How Much Can I Fill The Skip
Overloaded skips can become a health and safety issue when loading and unloading and while the skips are in transport. Skips are to be filled to a maximum of 1 foot above the top edge of the skip and are only removed if it is safe for transportation . Any Skip that may bo loaded higher will result in failure of collection due to health and safety reasons . Image Below of a skip unsafe for transport!
